Agung Vs Ully, Reyhan Vs Fayza

Come to think of it, I find it amazing how four people who have completely different personalities can live together in harmony.

My children couldn't be more diferent.
Reyhan is boisterous, Fayza is quiet.
Reyhan can't sit still for more than 5 minutes, Fayza spends most of her time observing his action.
Reyhan needs 2 hours to finish a bowl of food, Fayza tries to grab any food we eat.
Reyhan eats so many thing (snack, mostly) and still so thin, Fayza drinks only breastmilk and doubles her weight in 5 months.
Reyhan must be embraced to sleep, Fayza drifts to sleep by herself.
Reyhan got sick almost every month until he's one-year-old, Fayza only got sick twice so far and only light flu.
Reyhan have never, ever fallen from a bed, Fayza did while she was just 4 months old.
Reyhan seems to be easily scared, Fayza dares to try anything.
But of course, as children, they like nice things such as toys, movies, books and ice cream (well, Izza haven't eaten it yet, of course, but I'm sure she'll love it).

Between Mas and I, it's more or less the same thing.
He is punctual, I usually (most of the time, actually) postpone everything until the last minute.
He is pessimistic, I'm optimistic.
He is quiet, I'm talkative.
He doesn't like to be in the crowd, I love parties.
He has never had a best friend, I have friends everywhere.
He is patient, I'm impatient.
He is organized, I'm un-organized.
His room was very neat, my room was a mess.
He says "chocolate is bitter", I say "I can't live without it"
He never could memorize his own phone numbers, I memorize them all for him.
His idea of doing sport is playing games of basketball and soccer on computer, I hate those games and much prefer the 'real' activity
And yet, here we are, completely perfect for each other........

A journey through time

As our time grow shorter,
I become moodier and sadder,
As I imagine leaving this place behind,
to go back home where we belong

And these are some of my wonderful memory of my life (and journey) in Japan

Resep (lagi)

Hari ini lagi kepingin makan sesuatu yg mengandung coklat. Kebetulan ada sisa cooking chocolate dan punya krim. Nyobain bikin chocolate mousse aahhhh..... Setelah nyari2 di internet, dapet deh ini resep:

450 g of dark choc ( lindt is preferable )
25 gr of brandy
4 egg yolk
5 egg white
350 ml of cream
1 orange, zested.

Method:

melt the choc over bain marie, mix in brandy after melted.
Wait until choc mixture bit cold ( around 5'), combine with egg yolk, and orange zest, put in the fridge.
Whip cream until change the texture, do not over whipped, otherwise the cream will split.
fold in cream with choc mixture, put back in the fridge.
whip egg white, until soft peak ( meringue form), make sure bowl and whisk are clean, nothing else but egg white, otherwise would not form meringue
fold in meringue with choch mixture.
chill for 30' up to 1 hr, ready to serve.

Penulisnya gak tau siapa, tp pake nama doyan makan. Thanks ya, doyan makan :)

Resep Sup Ikan

Berhubung lagi punya nanas, bingung mo dimasak apa. Inget waktu itu mamanya Hikari cerita masak sup ikan pake nanas. Jadi kepingin nyoba nih. Trus tanya resepnya deh. Ini dia, kl pingin tau n nyoba jg.

Sup Ikan Asam Pedas

Bahan:
250 g fillet ikan kakap
3 sdm air jeruk nipis/lemon
1.5 sdt garam
750 ml air hangat
1 buah kaldu blok ikan/ayam
50 g nanas kupas, potong dadu 1x1 cm
15 g daun kemangi

Bumbu:
1 batang serai, ambil bagian putihnya, memarkan
5 lembar daun jeruk, buang tulang daunnya
2 batang daun bawang, potong 1 cm
5 butir bawang merah, iris tipis
3 buah tomat sayur, masing-masing potong 4
10 buah cabai rawit merah, memarkan
1 sdt garam
1 sdm kecap ikan

Cara:
1. Potong fillet ikan bentuk dadu ukuran 2x2 cm.
Sajikan hangat.

Makasih ya Tante Devina....Tp berhubung disini gak ada daun kemangi, n lg gak punya tomat, n adanya ikan salmon, kudu improvisasi nih.....

Hitsujiyama Koen

Today is the second day of Golden Week. We plan to go to a famous koen in Chichibu called Hitsujiyama Koen. According to Yayoi-san who also gave us the direction to the koen, hitsuji means sheep. This park is not far from Honjo because it's still in Saitama, but how to get there is tricky.

You see, in order to get to the park, we should take the train called chichibu line from kumagaya station. It takes about 100 minutes from kumagaya to Ohanabatake, the station of the park. But if we start from Yorii, it will take only about 30 minutes. The problem is, the bus to Yorii departs every 2 hours. So, if we miss it, and then we must wait for 2 hours or take the train from honjo eki. And of course, we miss the bus. So we start the journey from honjo station.

Rocker Reyhan on the train. Topi itu fungsinya buat nutupin kuping supaya suara keretanya gak kedengeran, bukan buat gaya :D

We go to kumagaya by takasaki line, and in kumagaya we change train and board the chichibu line. I think chichibu line is a private train, because it's rather shabby, slow and doesn't have the air-con. Thank God the weather is not very hot (I can't imagine travelling with this train in June or July. It must be really hot). Finally, at 10 minutes to 1, we arrive at Ohanabatake.

From Ohanabatake station, we go on foot to the park. It's about 20 minutes walking-distance. When we get to the park, there are so many people that the park seems small. Well, actually, it's not as big as I imagine, so add that to our surprise. But the view is wonderful, and the color is definitely my favorite (ungu.....). We had a nice time taking picture and having a picnic there.

Very nice, aren't they? (although it doesn't smell as nice as it looks)

The journey back home, however, is by bus. And it's much faster and cheaper too. So next time we go there (we want to go to nagatoro, which has a very nice view and offers a ride at the river), we would definitely take the bus.

It's PARTY TIME!!!

Last thursday, Apr. 28, GITS were having a party here at the dormitory. To join the party, students must pay 1000 yen, except for those who volunteer. As my hubby was busy, we prefer not to volunteer. Jadi kudu bayar deeehhhh

The party started at 6.30 with the band from Waseda Highschool. After that, diggin' time. Then, at 8 pm, we had some games and then bingo game was started. We won many presents at that game which was unusual for Mas Agung (my husband used to say that he hates this kind of games because he just didn't have enough luck to win).

But the biggest surprise was yet to come. During dinner, we were introduced to a Waseda High School teacher named Jun Tanabe. We had a nice chat and he told us that he visited Indonesia once. Later, at the door-prize announcement, Mr. Tanabe won the first prize (a recycling chair, which was quite nice). And you know what? He gave us the prize! He said he wanted us to have it, as a present for Izza-chan. What a nice surprise! Thanks a lot, Tanabe-san! So you see, kalo udah rejeki ya nggak kemana2 (lagi, kata mas. hehehe)
